Teacher Dinner

One of our favorite nights of the year is the teacher dinner. The kids invite all of their teachers over for a special dinner. They set the menu and help cook the meal. We also have a time for Phil to publicly share with them how grateful we are that God has chosen them to pour into our children. It is always a special night. 

And games always come out!

We have a new dog. His name is Bertie. We love to pet him and walk him around the neighborhood. But he gets to live next door... with another family. 

PS - don't tell them that he isn't really ours, they have no idea.

Week one down!

Pool day!

We have the first week of school under our belts and celebrated with a day at the pool with friends. It was hot, lots of laughter and sweet sweet friends! Loved it!

knitting class

Lucy and I took a knitting class while we were in Charlotte. We had so much fun. This is her first project - she made this beautiful scarf for her best friend Vivi's birthday.

First Day of School

This is the only year that all three of them will be in school together. Lucy is in Year 6 (5th grade), Clark is in Year 4 (3rd grade) and Piper is in Year 1 (Kindergarten). They are happy to be together.

Lucy is a delight! This year our prayer for Lucy is that she would be the aroma of Christ. That others would be attracted to Jesus thru her. She has a sweet spirit and is so intelligent and smart. We have learned so much from her.

Clark is the life of the party! He loves well and has great zeal for life. Our prayer for him this year is that he will trust the Lord and not be anxious in anything and that he would turn to Lord when he is. We love who this guy is!

 Piper is our cheeky monkey! She is funny and sarcastic and an old soul in many ways. Our prayer for her is that she would come to love prayer. That she would understand the power of prayer and delight in it.

We are grateful for the school that they get to go to and all that lies ahead for us this year.
