Happy Bir-

Little Foard turned 6 months old last week, so the Hunts had a 1/2 birthday party for him at their new digs. It was great! The kids pitched in and "helped" make pancakes, and Jake cooked some awesome sausages for dinner. Good stuff. It's so fun to celebrate our newest, youngest team member!
Shanna and big bro Sam chatted it up...
Clark and Piper had fun at their own private table...
Big helpers...

Swim Gala

We raced from the Easter Egg hunt to the indoor swimming pool, for Lucy and Clark's swimming gala. They did great! Clark's race was the first one, one length of the pool with a kickboard. Lucy was next, and she had 2 races - freestyle and backstroke. She got 3rd place on backstroke, so she got a medal, which she is very proud of! It was a great time with friends and other school families.

No pre-race jitters here...

Clark's race...
One of Lucy's races...
Piper desperately wanted to swim too...

Easter Egg Hunt

Last Saturday was a great and busy day! We started with the annual Easter Egg hunt in the woods. All the kids got in on the action, where you run through the woods trying to find teachers who have the candy - you answer their question correctly and you get a chocolate. We ended up getting more lost this year than ever before and almost had to resort to a GPS - but we managed to get back on track.

Electricity, Electricity......

Lucy's class was studying electricity and to fully understand it they made houses built out of recycled material with electricity lighting it up. They spent a whole week working on it. Each house had a write up of what type of house it was, and a brief description of what was in the house. The children had an open house for all of the parents complete with refreshments and a comment sheet. Lucy's house was a beach bungalow with a pool. She had a dining room table that you could flip over and it became a bed. She took clothespins and decorated them to be people and there was a clothespin for each family member (so cute). She also demonstrated how to turn on the lights using wires and a battery pack. Pretty cool stuff for a 7 year old.

Sweet moment, big hair

Oh Yeah!

Happy St. Patty's Day

When I was a kid every year on St. Patrick's Day my mom would make a green breakfast, green eggs, green milk and green pancakes, my sister and I would squeal that it tasted different. This year I decided to make green pancakes for dinner. Lucy and Clark thought it was so funny and they gobbled them up, Piper on the other hand pushed them away and kept saying "Purple, Purple" meaning that she wanted purple pancakes for dinner and wasn't having any of this green nonsense.

Pinkalicious

Today was Book Day at school and Lucy had to come dressed up as a character from any book of her choice. So she came as Pinkalicious. Dressed head to toe in pink complete with a pink cupcake.

what's happening??

The last couple of weeks have been filled with lots. We have been...

building forts
pretending we are sailing the high seas
making cinnamon rolls with friends
"working"
entertaining
making amazing meals in our new kitchen
making real cookies and eating them too
and just enjoying being together.

Shanna's Birthday

Our favorite mommy had a birthday recently! (These pics are long overdue) We had a great celebration that day which, as usual, stretched into a few days before and after as well. When we celebrate birthdays, we do it right! After school was over we had Shanna sit on the green couch and wait for us, and we had prepared our annual silly song for her. This year, since the kids have been learning piano, and Clark now owns a guitar, we went all Von Trapp on Shanna and played our instruments while we sang our silly song - "Falling Slowly" with new words. Then we did our silly dance to "All the Single Ladies" (except it was "Momma, it's your
Birthday!")
After everyone recovered from that musical number, we went out for dinner at Prague's new Hard Rock Cafe. This is a great place for our family because we can be as loud as we normally are, and no one cares. Then we came back and had friends over for cake and ice cream. It was a tremendously fun day! And the big gift? A new fancy camera for Shanna, so be on the lookout for some incredible new pics from her!
We love our Mommy! She makes us laugh, takes good care of us, prays for us, encourages us, and always looks for ways to make a good time a GREAT TIME! Life is never boring with her, and we are so lucky to have her as our MOMMY!!!
