Disneyland!

We had a magical day at Disneyland California! We spent all day there - and by all day I mean from 10:30am until 12:30am - 14 glorious hours without stopping.
We all loved It's a Small World, because we go to identify all the various countries that either we've visited or our friends are from - how fun!
Piper LOVED giving big hugs to Mickey, Minnie, and (we think) her favorite - Goofy...
Lucy got picked to help out for the High School Musical sidewalk performance. She was hesitant, but giggled her way through it...
And Lucy and Shanna rode the California Screamin' roller coaster - which was AWESOME! Here's before (like nanoseconds before they're launched down the track)...
And here's after...

Museums

Another highlight from California was getting to visit several museums. We had a great time at the Getty Museum, a place as famous for its architecture as its gardens and artwork. They even had a cool kids activity for us to work on.
A few days later we visited the Skirball Museum, which houses a partial replica of Noah's Ark, and the kids can climb all over it and play in it. Very cool.

California

After Charlotte, we ventured to Shanna's motherland - California! We spent a great time there, seeing some of her friends and family, whom we haven't seen in several years. The kids also got their first Pacific Ocean experience...
This big hill in the background is Palos Verdes where Shanna grew up. It is one of the most beautiful places.Shanna and her friends from elementary school!
Piper loved playing with Erin's toys at the Murdoch's house...
We had a great visit with Uncle Drew and his family - Tina and their great girls, Ally and Elizabeth, and Shanna's step-grandmother Jane...
We got to swim in Jane's pool... she lives right on the ocean too!
Beautiful California sunsets...And getting to see Aunt Heather!

Fun in Charlotte

We spent 2 1/2 weeks in Charlotte, visiting with old friends, sharing at churches, and doing lots of other fun things! Like...

Davis Lifegroup Reunion - our old Bible study group is all grown up! We had a great group that was full of singles - now they've all married and are having kids...
Swimming, swimming, and more swimming...
Miss Angela got married!
Shanna with her friends Anne, House, and Virginia - she was the wise married woman when these girls lived in Charlotte
Everett's big birthday party - a water spraying event to stay cool!
